If you take a space opera as Interstellar, add the values and tender humor of a buddy film with a Pixar-like approach and a you infuse it with a litle Spielberg’s ’80s innocence, you get this marvel. Visually distinctive, colorful, hopeful, and featuring an excellent sometimes funny sometimes dramatic Ryan Gosling. Entertaining cinema, the kind of sci-fi I had been missing — aesthetically beautiful, with character development and a fresh, interesting premise. I understand that certain choices regarding its humorous tone might put off those expecting a film more in the style of 2001: A Space Odyssey, but if you come to it without prejudice, you’ll probably leave feeling moved.
Outstanding special effects, loved the relationship between Grace and Rocky, and also Ryan Gosling’s acting. Better in the cinema
Great adaptation of Andy Weir’s sci-fi novel. I love how they brought into life the friendship between Grace and Rocky. Music and picture keeps up too.
