Reflection
I’d been meaning to watch Euphoria for a while, given its status as a defining Gen Z series, and it absolutely lives up to that reputation. The format, cinematography, and performances are striking and immersive. It offers a brutally honest portrayal of toxic coming-of-age dynamics in the U.S., especially around sexism and LGBTQ+phobia. At the same time, it provides an insightful and empathetic look into addiction and the struggles people face. Overall, it’s as unsettling as thought-provoking.
